EMPOWERING VETERANS TO BECOME CERTIFIED MOUNTAIN GUIDES

DENALI SUMMIT

The Special Operations Climber’s Coalition (SOCC), a nonprofit organization recognized under 501(c)(3), was founded by four active and former special operators. Their commitment is evident in our mission to nurture community and camaraderie through mountain guiding.

SOCC aims to be a beacon of hope for veterans, supporting them in obtaining professional qualifications through the American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA). We foster a supportive community that offers professional development opportunities and financial assistance for AMGA and AIARE courses. While we primarily focus on helping career special operations forces (SOF) veterans transition into guiding, our charter also extends to benefit the broader veteran community. SOCC is dedicated to providing its members with the resources and guidance essential for their success.

At SOCC, we recognize the vital role experienced mentors play in professional growth. We are building a connected and thriving community of mountain professionals, creating pathways to success through collaboration with these mentors.
